Denmark has joined the Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme a growing European defence initiative centered on the Patria 6×6, a cutting-edge modular armoured vehicle designed for troop transport and multi-role missions.
Led by Finnish defence company Patria, the programme enhances joint military capabilities and industrial cooperation across participating nations. With over 850 vehicles ordered and more than 200 already delivered, the Patria 6×6 is becoming a backbone of European ground forces.
“Denmark’s swift entry into the CAVS programmed strengthens regional interoperability and security of supply,” said Mats Warstedt, Senior Vice President at Patria. Supported by the EU’s EDIRPA initiative, the programmed exemplifies fast, efficient defense collaboration in an increasingly unpredictable security environment.
The Patria 6×6 can be equipped with amphibious capabilities, advanced Armour, and weapons ranging from machine guns to the powerful 120mm Patria Nemo mortar system making it a versatile asset for modern military operations.
