In her first major public address since stepping down as Vice President, Kamala Harris fiercely condemned President Donald Trump’s first 100 days of his second term, accusing him of driving the country to the brink of a constitutional crisis and wreaking havoc on the economy.
“Instead of advancing America’s highest ideals, we’re witnessing their wholesale abandonment,” Harris said, pointing to Trump’s failure to revive the economy as promised. “He’s created the greatest man-made economic crisis in modern history.”
Addressing a crowd at the Emerge 20th Anniversary Gala in San Francisco, Harris also criticized Trump’s foreign policy, claiming he had left U.S. allies in disarray and isolated the nation globally.
Calling on Democrats to unite, Harris urged the party to come together and fight for fairness and progress in what she described as a critical moment for America’s future. “The stakes have never been higher,” she said, rallying her party for the challenges ahead.
